Message from the Mayor

Taken from the May/June, 2015 - Discover Delano! Newsletter.

This is the time of year when City Staff hears the question “How long can a vehicle or trailer be parked on the City Street?”

During the winter months-the City of Delano enforces the ‘Snow Season Parking Restrictions’ where vehicles cannot be parked on any city street overnight.

The remainder of the year there are no parking restrictions for overnight parking on City streets.  However, City Ordinance does require all vehicles and trailers be moved every twenty-four hours.

When parking boats and trailers - please be considerate to neighbors and make sure they are not blocking the roadway and driveway lines. Outdoor storage units and moving containers cannot be parked in City streets at any time and need to be placed on their property.

For more information on City Codes and Ordinances please visit the City of Delano website or contact City staff directly at 763-972-0550.  Have a great summer!
