Third Tuesday of each month starting January 19

Expand your reading horizons and join this fun book group.  We meet each month and read a variety of genres and authors.  Possible titles include:

We have deigned and interactive story time especially for your 18 month to 3 year olds accompanied by a parent.  Join us for some singing, clapping and fun stories.  We even include a literacy tip each week.  Toddler time is presented by Carol Plocher.  Please not that there will be no story time Monday, April 12 due to library closure.

LEGACY FUNDING AT THE LIBRARY

The library will host several programs this winter and spring with funds received from the Legacy Grant for the Arts in Minnesota.  The following are a list of programs that you can enjoy the first half of 2010.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL AND SUMMER READING PROGRAM KICK-OFF

Our annual ice cream social will feature visits and reading with princesses.  Register for the summer reading program and sign up to win one of our wonderful prize baskets.  Eat some ice cream, of course.  The Wright County Diary Farmers and the Delano Friends of the Library will sponsor this fun event.  Everyone can participate.

PRAIRIE BOYS

BANJO DANCERS

Drawing on a rich sampling traditional music and step-dancing, the Banjo Dancers bring a fun program with plenty of audience participation for kids and skillful performing for adults.  Come see Appalachian Clogging, English Wooden Shoe, African hambone, Old-time Southern music and many other musical ingredients from the melting pot of America.  This program is provided by the Legacy Grant.

PIZZA IN THE PARK

Pizza Ranch will again be sponsoring an evening of entertainment in the Delano Lions Park near the gazebo.  Relax with your family as Lulu the clown wanders the crowd doing face painting and animal balloons for the children.  Kids can join in some fun outdoor games.  Slices of pizza available for a donation, along with free beverage and icy treat.  All proceeds from this event will go to the Delano Friends of the Library, your servers for the evening.  No pre-registration required.  Everyone can participate.
