Important information regarding a heat recovery ventilator:

If you have had a heat recovery ventilator installed in your home, please watch the Channel 12 video regarding a possible fire hazard for units manufactured between 1997-2001 and 2006-2007. In 2007, two federal recalls were issued for units manufactured by Venmar because of motors starting on fire from overheating. Although still manufactured by Venmar, the HRV’s may have different name brands on them.
