Current employment opportunities:

  • Part-time Cablecaster. The City of Delano is seeking part-time Cablecaster to record and cablecast city meetings. This position will serve as a back-up position to fill in when needed. Duties include preparing equipment, DVDs and other material for live telecast and video/audio recording of city meetings for the cable channel and webcasting. Qualified applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours, have vocational or technical training in video/audio production or demonstrate equivalent experience. The 2019 wage is $75.81/per meeting. Applications will be accepted until Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 5pm. The position will remain open until filled.

  • On-Call Snow Removal Laborer. The City of Delano is accepting applications for a temporary, seasonal laborer to perform snow removal and ice control activities. Responsibilities include both shoveling and operating equipment to perform snow removal on trails, sidewalks, parking lots, cul-de-sacs and roadways on an on-call basis through the end of March.  Must be able to work early morning shifts (1:00-6:00am) any day of the week during snow emergencies. Preference will be given to applicants also available during other times of the day on weekdays and weekends on an on-call basis for snow removal.  Must be physically capable of shoveling, lifting a minimum of 40 pounds, and possessing a valid drivers license. The hourly wage for this position will start at $18 per hour. Driving and criminal backgrounds will be checked.
