Update No. 1 - June 19

Delano City Council called an emergency city council meeting Thursday, June 19 at 4:30 p.m. to discuss potential high-water issues. The city may need to construct some levees as the Crow River is projected to rise to 20.5 feet by the morning of Sunday, June 22. As of 2 p.m. Thursday, the river was at a level of 15.4 feet. Minor flood stage is 16.5 feet; moderate is 17.5 feet, and major flood stage is 18.5 feet. The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Crow River in Delano just before noon Thursday.
